Galusha Farm offers:
We make all of our own hay, in Dupage County, IL. All of our hay is stored inside the barn, including the large round bales. Because they are stored indoors they never get wet and do not spoil, as they do when typically left outside. The round bales are wrapped with an open mesh netting for ease of transportation and final curing and breathing. We have a variety of square bales that weigh 40-60 pounds. Our round bales are 4ft. x 6ft and weigh 1100-1400 pounds. Delivery is available at any time by wagon, 4x4 truck, tractor, or trailer. No order is ever too large or small. If you commit to us, for your winter needs, we will commit to you that the hay is yours, and we will fulfill your winter hay needs until 1st crop comes in early June. I checked my calendar and the last delivery of 126 bales lasted 8 weeks for two horses (because my older horse was eating some mixed hay that I had leftover from earlier shipments). Since this current delivery included 21 bales of mixed hay for Thunder, we should plan to have another delivery by the first week in April at latest. If I need to go ahead and pay for and reserve grass hay for that delivery, please let me know. I want to ensure a reliable source of grass hay, if we can. And I want you to know that I am definitely your loyal customer after these last two deliveries of beautiful hay. Let me know if you have any luck with a conveyor. Hi Steve,
This past month and a half has been very difficult for me. The end of my pregnancy was rough and wound with me having an emergency attempted induction and c-section. Our son was in the NICU for 11 days and being a new mom, especially to a preemie, has been a rewarding but exhausting experience. I cannot tell how grateful I am that, during this very difficult period, I haven't found myself worrying about the horses. Thank you so much for running the wonderful facility that you do. It's been great for me to go out to see the horses and see that they are happy and healthy, so that I can focus my attention on healing and caring for little Elijah for these first few weeks. I hope everything is well with you and your family and that you are enjoying this first dusting of snow, which looks so lovely.
