Our modern equipment helps us be productive, efficient,
and good land stewards. |
Galusha Farm operates 1,460 acres of corn and soybeans and 275 acres of hay ground in 7 counties in IL. from Kane, DuPage, Kendall, Cook, DeKalb, McHenry to JoDaviess counties in northern and northeast Illinois.
We use state-of-the-art crop scouting techniques, 2.5 acre soil sampling grids, and GPS yield recording and mapping, variable rate (VRT) fertilizing and seeding along with auto-steer on tillage tractors and the planting tractor. We also employ the swath control technology to save on seed and improve on yield. VRT assists us in reducing unnecessary uses of fertilizers as well. This helps us minimize environmental threats and control costs.
